DSCO Mission Statement
The Delaware Society of Clinical Oncology has as its mission to help foster the highest quality of cancer care in the state of Delaware. This can be accomplished through:
- maintaining or increasing access to the best care for all Delawareans;
- acting as an advocate for all Delawareans and their families affected by cancer;
- facilitating the education of physicians and allied health care providers;
- supporting a multidisciplinary approach to cancer care;
- maximizing clinical trial participation among cancer physicians and patients;
- assisting practitioners in obtaining fair and appropriate reimbursement for care; and
- serving as a resource to cancer care providers in Delaware.
Katrina Relief Fund
The ASCO Foundation has established a restricted Hurricane Relief Fund dedicated to people with cancer who have been affected by the hurricanes and are in need of critical support services. Charitable grants to The ASCO Foundation Hurricane Relief Fund are tax-deductible – and 100% of the donations will be disbursed by The ASCO Foundation to help affected cancer patients from southern Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Texas.
